every first time console is frozen at: Waiting for storage device(s) to settle before scanning... T and after some time there is rest printed (not ready....blahblah)

Again its trying to detect your usb drive there so maybe try a different usb drive? or maybe its the permissions on the usb drive thats stopping the files from being read?
