Re: 2013.10 U-Boot for FDT and Non-FDT Kernel - GoFlex Net/GoFlex Home/Pogo E02
Did you try both SATA slots? (in the past, the GoFlex Net had problem booting on the left slot, but I have not tried to verify it lately). I normally use the right slot. Also please post the model...

I've spent the last few hours, nights, days trying to figure out why my pogoplug will not boot off of a 4gb ext3 partition on a 3 TB wd element drive. I finally gave up and loaded everything on a...

Perhaps Bodhi can give a better explanation, but from what I've read here in the past, in disks greater than 2T the number of sectors exceeds what can be represented in a drive's conventional...

I should be using the right slot because it's my understanding that is device 0. But I see that I have not been using that slot for these experiments. The model number is 9ZT5N0-520 if that helps....

Restamp is right: that the current uBoot does not understand 3TB drive. To use it with this uBoot, one must format it as a hybrid MBR. So 2 partitions, a small one and a larger one. uBoot will only...

In case anyone is wondering, this is my pogoplug boot arguments below, some of which came from this poster's uboot environment. http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=36540#p36540 These still...

And that is curious how? You set the command. Then I guess that no bootcmd was set before and autoload is enabled. That could probably explain why your Pogo then runs that bootcmd_usb. I don't know...

SUCCESS!!! I had uploaded the uImage to my usb device and that didn't work, found out after analyzing the kernel panic that kept poping up in the serial window that the "root" wasn't set correctly....

StephenR0, Thanks for a testing with this SSD. I agreed, it seems uBoot has problem reading Sandisk SSD descriptor. I looked at uBoot code for this process, and it is a common function for all SATA. I...

Im not sure i just used ide-disk1 in all 4 just to see if they worked and since i only have the 1 drive at the moment i cant test if both work seperatly.
View ArticleRe: Linux Kernel 3.12.0 Kirkwood package and rootfs (Non Flattened Device Tree)
yeah the boot partition needs to be ext2 then whatever you want for rootfs as long as the kernel supports it mine is ext4.
View ArticleRe: Linux Kernel 3.12.0 Kirkwood package and rootfs (Non Flattened Device Tree)
Just use one Ext2 partition, make it simple. Get it working first, then worry about other things.
